Chiropractor Fanwood Explains How Aerobic Exercise Helps Headache Patients
Aerobic Exercise Helps Headache Patients
Patients who suffer from both migraines and tension-type headaches with neck pain may benefit from a little exercise.
In this study, patients with migraines and co-existing tension-type headaches with neck pain who engaged in 45 minutes of aerobic exercise three times a week experienced improvements in migraine frequency, intensity, and duration, as well as a reduction in neck pain and an increased ability to perform daily tasks.
These findings highlight the importance of including exercise in the treatment plan of patients with headaches, especially if they have both the migraine and tension-type variety.
