Chiropractor Fanwood Explains How Cardiorespiratory Fitness Reduces Coronary Heart Disease
Cardiorespiratory Fitness Reduces Coronary Heart Disease
Coronary heart disease (CHD) is a leading cause of death among men in the United States.
A recent study involving over 40,000 men found that moderate to high levels of cardiorespiratory fitness provide significant protection from CHD-related death.
Lead investigator Dr. Stephen W. Farrell explains, "While it is still extremely important to measure traditional risk factors such as resting blood pressure, blood cholesterol, triglyceride, and glucose levels, having a measure or estimate of the patient's cardiorespiratory fitness level gives us additional information regarding cardiovascular disease risk."
