Among a sample of 1,747 workers, researchers found that the increased risk for musculoskeletal pain frequency associated with working more hours can be mitigated by getting adequate sleep. The study suggests that occupational health staff could reduce the risk of chronic musculoskeletal pain complaints among workers by promoting better sleeping habits.
