Avoid Eating Late at Night
Fanwood Chiropractor Eric Chludzinski provides the research about eating late at night.
Assessments of the dietary behaviors of 31 adults revealed that participants who consumed more of their calories in the evening and night tended to have a higher body mass index than the men and women in the study who did not eat as much in the later hours of the day.
Researcher Dr. Lona Sandon explains, "When you eat more of your food calories earlier in the day, they may be more likely used for energy and less likely stored as fat due to different levels of hormones… Eating later in the day, more so at night, seems to be linked to storing more body fat due to hormone differences at this time of day."
