Chiropractor Fanwood Says Exercise Twice Per Week to Sharpen Your Memory
Exercise Twice Per Week to Sharpen Your Memory
New guidelines recommend that people with mild cognitive impairment should exercise twice a week to improve their memory and thinking ability.
The results of a six-month study showed that those who worked out at least twice a week experienced a marked improvement in cognitive function.
Lead author Dr. Ronald C. Petersen adds, "Exercising might slow down the rate at which you would progress from mild cognitive impairment to dementia… It's exciting that exercise may help improve memory at this stage, as it's something most people can do and of course it has overall health benefits."
To read the full study and learn more it can be found in Neurology, December 2017.
