Improve Your Sleep
Poor sleep quality increases the risk of health problems, such as heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, depression, and obesity.
The National Institute on Aging offers the following tips to improve your sleep: go to bed and wake up at the same time each day; avoid using cell phones, computers, and televisions in your bedroom; find ways to relax before going to bed; avoid eating big meals, or drinking caffeine or alcohol late in the day; exercise daily, but not right before bedtime; avoid naps of more than 30 minutes during the day, and try to get at least seven hours of sleep per night.
