Chiropractor Fanwood Explains Why Musculoskeletal Pain Common Among Cyclists
Musculoskeletal Pain Common Among Cyclists.
Surveys completed by 167 cyclists during amateur competitions in Europe revealed that 41% of participants suffer from spinal pain while 40% live with knee pain.
Factors linked with an elevated risk for musculoskeletal pain among cyclists at this level include older age, a heavier weight, and increased time spent training.
The findings reveal the prevalence of musculoskeletal pain among competition cyclists and the need for more education regarding prevention strategies such as proper warm-up and stretching.
