Neck Problems Can Hinder Headache Patients

In this study, researchers followed 79 headache patients for six months and found that those with cervical joint dysfunction were six-times less likely to experience any functional improvements when compared to headache patients with no history of neck problems.

Past research has demonstrated that cervical dysfunction can play a role in the headache process, and treatment to improve function in the neck-such as manipulative therapy performed by a doctor of chiropractic-can greatly reduce the frequency and intensity of headaches.
