Overcoming Low-Speed Auto Accidents and Back Pain
According to a new study that involved the forensic analysis of 83 car accident claims, researchers found that 77% of the claimants reported having low back pain. Of these cases, 70% involved a rear-end collision and 40% of the cases were low-velocity (6 to 7 mph) collisions. The researchers also observed that individuals with a history of low back pain or evidence of disk degeneration were more likely to report low back pain following a low-speed motor vehicle collision. Doctors of chiropractic in Fanwood are trained to evaluate and treat musculoskeletal injuries arising from car accidents, and they can play a significant role in the patient's recovery from pain and disability.
