Poor Vitamin D Status Is Very Common in Fanwood
Blood samples collected from 221 medical students revealed that 89.14% had deficient vitamin D levels (20ng/ml or lower), 7.24% had insufficient vitamin D levels (21-29ng/ml), and only 3.62% had healthy vitamin D levels (30ng/ml or higher).
The findings underscore the need to educate young adults on strategies to improve vitamin D levels through sun exposure, diet, and supplementation.
