The National Sleep Foundation notes the following clues that you may have too much stress in your life: your mind is overactive when going to bed; you suffer from muscle pain and tension; your heart races; and you experience more frequent headaches.
To reduce stress before bed and improve your sleep, the foundation recommends drinking a calming tea, taking a warm bath, practicing yoga, or engaging in breathing exercises.
