the importance of movement when you
injure your lower back. When you throw
out your lower back, the old school
thinking is bed rest, lay down in bed in
a recliner on the sofa. But this type of
thinking will delay the healing process.
Your tissues of your spine, your joints,
your discs, uh they depend upon nutrient
supply, water, different types of
nutrients and ovial fluid. And if
there’s a lack of exchange and the
joints are locked and fixated, it can
slow up the healing process. Now, of
course, you want to avoid any type of
movements that trigger more pain. But if
it hurts to turn 10°, you only go five,
but just moving around, not staying in
one position, is going to speed up the
recovery process. Other things to
consider is drinking lots of water
because your tissues are need to be well
hydrated to heal properly. Of course,
using ice because when you injure your
back, you typically the first thing that
happens is it gets inflamed. When the
joints get locked and there’s a lack of
proper motion, chiropractic is very
important. The longer you wait, the more
difficult it is for the adjustment to to
be effective. So, getting in to see the
chiropractor and making sure that all
the joints are moving properly so your
body has the opportunity and ability to
