if you’re a chronic back pain sufferer
should you consider an inversion table
for home use the answer is absolutely
yes especially if you’ve been diagnosed
with any SP spinal degeneration uh dis
issues like bulging herniation spinal
stenosis the reason why these conditions
are very uh helpful with an inversion
table is because an inversion table
takes compression off your spine it
decompresses your spine intermittently
and when it does that it allows the
joints to relax it allows fluid to be
Nish through the joint and through the
disc it allows that loading that’s
putting pressure on those structures to
get it get a temporary break and this
can help to decompress the spine when
used repetitively it could be beneficial
for the chronic back pain suffer now I
will tell you it’s like anything else
that you buy for your house whether it’s
a stationary bike or a treadmill it’s
only useful if you utilize it so to
start off with um I tell my patients
just a few minutes a day um believe it
or not a lot of people get hurt getting
in and out of it and that could be some
of the troubling um troubling issues as
well because somebody with back pain is
not as agile not as loose and a lot of
times they can uh pull something or
irritate the tissue even further and
cause more damage so be careful getting
in and out of the machine um you only
need to do a few minutes a day I would
start out at maybe 2 minutes then add a
minere up to about 5 to 7 Minutes uh
daily but it’s something you need to do
repetitively to intermittently take
compression off your spine and in that
manner it could be very very useful and
helpful for further questions about this
