what jobs cause a bad back and what can
you do about it back pain is very
commonplace nowadays we’re going to talk
about two different types of jobs that
are entirely different that cause back
pain in different ways the first type of
job we’re going to talk about is the
strenuous heavy construction carpentry
work where you’re loading a spine
continuously sometimes it’s hard to
avoid injury but I’m going to give you a
couple of tips that can help you avoid
injury if this is your chosen profession
number one anytime you’re lifting
something the back is most susceptible
to injury when you lift a heavy load and
you twist turn or rotate it creates a
shearing stress on your discs and on
your joints and leads you open to injury
so it’s important that you’re lifting
properly avoiding twisting when lifting
heavy loads also having somebody help
you we know that back is the backs are
stiffer in the morning so maybe avoiding
heavy lifting towards later in the day
where the muscles have time to warm up
the second type of job we’re going to
talk about about is a more sedentary job
uh like sitting at a desk all day this
places loading on the spine that is more
Insidious in nature it can cause the
stress on the spine to cause loading on
the discs also if you’re sitting all day
then the muscles are inactive and they
become weak over time so it’s important
to get up and walk if you’re this is
your chosen profession also having the
proper chair ergonomics uh at your
workstation your computer height your
seat height having the proper chair uh
can help minimize these types of pains
as well in any event if you are
suffering with pain there are things
that you can do to help on your own at
home or at work to minimize it if it’s
not working don’t ignore it call
somebody that can help you we deal with
a lot of back pain in our office and we
are a non-invasive Safe Way for dealing
with it
